General Information about Kültürel Sosyal ve Sağlık Tesisleri İnşa ve İşletme A.Ş.
Kültürel AŞ is an institution that draws on the educational philosophy of Istanbul Technical University that has been carried out for centuries and aims to use this power for the benefit of ITU. As one of the subsidiaries of Foundation for the Development of ITU, it has been working since 1998 to offer new opportunities to students and add value to our university. Under the roof of Foundation for the Development of ITU Schools (ITU GVO), education is provided for the purpose of raising modern and productive generations at all levels from kindergarten to high school in 5 schools as 2 campus in İstanbul, Maslak and Beylerbeyi and one campus in İzmir Gaziemir.
Kültürel AŞ operates the Foundation for the Development of ITU Schools within the ITU Ayazaga Campus, Beylerbeyi Campus and Izmir Campus.
Our Foundation has 100% shares of Kültürel Sosyal ve Sağlık Tesisleri İnşa ve İşletme A.Ş.
FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITU SCHOOLS
Foundation for the Development of ITU Schools started their education in ITU Ayazaga Campus in 2000 with the understanding of “From mother’s lap to ITU” as a part of the family of Istanbul Technical University, which is one of the oldest technical universities in the World with a long history of 246 years.
Foundation for the Development of ITU; has opened Sedat Üründül Kindergarten in the year 2000 and its primary school in 2001. Natuk Birkan Primary School transferred to its own building in 2002-2003 academic year after continuing its primary school education activities for one year in kindergarten. In 2005-2006 school year Ekrem Elginkan High school and in 2011 Beylerbeyi Kindergarten, Beylerbeyi Primary School and Beylerbeyi Middle School in Beylerbeyi Campus were added to this chain. Foundation for the Development of ITU Schools, which provide education in 4 different Schools in İstanbul, opened Izmir Kindergarten, Primary School, Middle School and High School in İzmir Campus in 2014-2015 academic Year. All three schools founded by Prof. Dr. Gülsün Sağlamer carry the name of their main donors and are the active ITU Rectors act as their founder representative.
The aim of Foundation for the Development of ITU Schools is, based on the principle that “Every student can learn in accordance with their individual line”, to raise individuals, who; have the ability to access information, have a habit of working efficiently, are creative, are able question and independently think, are sensitive to art and people, respect ethical values, are principled and self-confidence.
FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITU PRIVATE DR. SEDAT ÜRÜNDÜL KINDERGARTEN
Dr. Sedat Üründül Kindergarten was realized with the donation of Sedat Üründül, who was a philanthropist businessman, a graduate of ITU Civil Engineering Faculty with a ITU Distinguished Service Medal and its internal equipment and environmental arrangements were met by Foundation for the Development of ITU, has started its education life in 2000-2001 academic year. In our Kindergarten, it is aimed to, with the consideration of individual differences of students, raise individuals who research and question academically and socially through advanced educational programs and activities.
FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITU PRIVATE DR. NATUK BİRKAN PRIMARY SCHOOL AND SECONDARY SCHOOL
Dr. Natuk Birkan Primary School and Secondary School, which was started with the donation by ITU friend and V business person Natuk Birkan and completed by the contributions of ITU graduates and Foundation for the Development of ITU, opened its doors to students in 2002-2003 academic year.
As Foundation for the Development of ITU Schools, with the responsibility and awareness of providing education under the roof of ITU, in order to carry our schools one step further and to meet the increasing needs in parallel with changing and developing science and technology we are constantly improving our education and management staff and maintain the standards of additional buildings at high levels with investments.
In Dr. Natuk Birkan Primary School / Secondary School individuals, who, care about core values, have the ability to access information, have the habit of working efficiently, can think creatively, can question and think independently, are sensitive to art and people, respect ethical values, are principled and self-confidence, are raised.
FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITU PRIVATE EKREM ELGİNKAN HIGH SCHOOL
Ekrem Elginkan High School, whose foundation was laid in 2004 with the protocol signed between the Elginkan Foundation, which was founded by the Elginkan Family in 1985 on behalf of İTÜ’48 Graduate, Mechanical Engineer Hüseyin Ekrem Elginkan, and the Rectorate of ITU, accepted its first students in the 2005-2006 academic year.
Our high school offers students a unique and pioneering education on a national basis and universal criteria. There is a five-year education program, one year preparation and four years of high school education in our school. The education language of our school is Turkish and English, and science and mathematics courses are taught in English. Ekrem Elginkan High School offers its students the option of getting the International Baccalaureate-IB diploma as well as the Anatolian High School diploma.
FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITU PRIVATE IZMIR KINDERGARTEN, PRIMARY SCHOOL, SECONDARY SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL
Foundation for the Development of ITU, which provide education in 4 different schools in İstanbul, choose İzmir for its primary school out of the city; for this purpose, it cooperated with NESAN Group of Companies, which is one of the most distinguished industrial establishments in İzmir. Kindergarten, Primary School, Middle School and High School in İzmir Campus were opened as the newest link of Foundation for the Development of ITU Schools. The school, which started its education life in the 2014-2015 academic year, was established on an area of 22 thousand square meters in Izmir Gaziemir.
Love of science, learning curiosity, research spirit, practices of questioning and creating solutions are gained by students. Raising multi-faceted individuals is especially taken into consideration, in addition it is ensured that students are integrated with art, sports, culture, and social responsibility awareness as well as course and exam success.
Beylerbeyi Kindergarten, Primary School and Secondary School started education in Beylerbeyi Campus, which were designed with a modern understanding in 2011. There are GEMS Workshop for Math and Science activities, English and Computer Laboratories, Music, Game and Drama Room, Ceramics and Painting Workshop, Ballet Room, Playground, Park Toys, Sand Pool, Gym, Indoor Swimming Pool, Library, Conference Hall, Interview room, infirmary, kitchen and mess hall in addition to classrooms in the school building, which is designed with modern educational approaches, applications and student needs in consideration.
The buildings in our campus have an earthquake resistance report issued by ITU-Center of Disaster Management.
Teaching science starts from a young age in our institution, which has adopted the principle “from the mother's lap to ITU”. It is aimed to improve the creativity of the students via experiments and observations with the Creative Practices Center established for this purpose. It enables students to their Scientific literacy thanks to the Creative Practices Center, which was established in order to develop positive attitudes towards science and to keep ensure permanent and better knowledge.
Turkey’s first Mini-Conservatoire was opened in 2015 by pioneer of innovation Foundation for the Development of ITU Schools in order to teach children music correctly at an early age and to discover the talented ones and to bring them to the art world. The Mini-Conservatoire, which was opened by Foundation in the ITU Schools in Beylerbeyi Campus, talented students are provided music education with basic music education classes, piano class, rhythm workshop, violin, guitar, side flute, and drum classes for kindergarten and primary school.
